Error Code 487

Visual CADD will try to automatically recover from Error Code 487.  If restarting Visual CADD produces the same error, you may manually edit the VCADD.INI to correct the problem.  Follow these steps.

1. Open VCADD.INI in a text editor, such as Notepad.  The default location on 64-bit Windows of the VCADD.INI is:
  v6 - C:\Program Files (x86)\TriTools Partners\Visual CADD 6\Programs\
  v5 - C:\Program Files (x86)\TriTools Partners\Visual CADD 5\Programs\
  v4 - C:\Program Files (x86)\VCADD4\Programs\
On 32-bit Windows these all begin with C:\Program Files\...
 
2. Under the section [VCDefaults], look for a key named NTBase=.  If there is no NTBase key, then add one.  Set the NTBase equal to the first 4 characters of the error code.  For example, if the error code is 676c0000, then use NTBase=676c

3. Save VCADD.INI and restart Visual CADD.  If you get the same error again but with a different error code, then repeat the above procedure using the new error code.  It might take a couple tries.
